   It is Tokunbo Martins’s 40th birthday and against his wish, his wife, Tare Martins throws him a surprise party. But he is unhappy about this and worried about something else. He wants to quit his job as a Bank Manager to follow his dream of being a livestock farmer

   Tare is finding it very hard to believe her husband’s decision and support it. She expresses her disagreement and refuses to support his decision. Garba, her husband’s driver would not stop coming to the house and as much as she tries, Her sister Sotonye who is living with them hears the resignation news.

   Mama Poultry

   In an attempt to convince her husband to rescind his decision, Tare calls his mother, her mother in law to report her husband’s decision. Tokunbo’s mother came with a psychiatric doctor to evaluate his mental status. A shock awaits Tare at the end of the day.

   Book of Life

   Garba continues to ruin chances for Sotonye who is trying to make ends meet even if it is by pretending to be what she is not. Garba’s continued presence begins to raise suspicions as Tokunbo has resigned from the bank and does not need a driver anymore but loyalty is strong and it cannot be bought. Tare suggests Tokunbo gets a helping hand to help him at the farm

   Homecation

   Their son Obafemi who is already used to yearly vacation he did not know was sponsored by the bank his father’s former place of work started throwing a tantrum because his parents told him they would not be traveling this year. To cheer him up, they decided to bring vacation home.

   Sotonye takes a catering job to make small chops for an event. She relied on Youtube and Garba’s assistance and would not listen to her sister’s advice to hire a professional caterer. She flops and the client threatens to arrest her if she does not do a refund.

   Stranger Things

   Sotonye had an interview in the house where she lied to own the house, Garba hears this and exposes her lie and a fight ensues between them. Tare suspects a strange behavior in her son Obafemi and tells Tokunbo about it. But he says it is all part of teenage life. Was her instinct right?

   An old friend of Tare came to visit promising to leave the same day but a day turns to two and brings too many chaos to the house

   Tokunbo gets a golden opportunity to supply eggs to Cote d’Ivoire and language would be a huge barrier. Tare suggests he get a French tutor. When she sees who the tutor turned out to be, she became jealous and would not allow it continue.

    Tokunbo’s friend from the bank came to visit with his family and mentioned an investment opportunity that is available for livestock farmers but he had to make an initial deposit he does not have. Tare encouraged him to use the house as collateral for loan.

    After losing the investment deal and facing the loss of their house, Tokunbo becomes dejected and shuts himself out from the world and would not come out to see his family. Tare runs again to his mother to help her reach him. In the midst of this, Tare takes a huge leap as regards her government job.

    Sotonye comes home drunk from an event one night and hurls insults on Grandma. Grandma decides to teach her some lessons and discipline her since everybody tolerates her excesses. Her sister decides to throw her out when she almost burns down the house.

    Still in her discipline season, Sotonye overhears Grandma needed a tailor to sew her cloth for her friend’s daughter wedding. She volunteers and after assuring Grandma that she will do something excellent and, in her words, ‘shock her’ she did exactly that.

    The Visit

    Tare flared up when she finds out that her sister Sotonye brought a friend to the house without asking her permission and Tokunbo allows Garba’s brother and wife come spend the night in their house without telling her. The bank also brings a letter to inform the they have a month to pay back the loan or lose the house but help comes not looking like help sometimes.
